FORT MCMURRAY– FLOOD CLEAN UP – GENERAL LABOR – LOCAL
We are looking for individuals who can work in indoor and outdoor environments doing general labour in Fort McMurray to assist with flood clean up and restoration efforts. LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY
Projects are to help various businesses and individuals with cleanup and restoration. The businesses are often essential and critical infrastructure to the community which means crews will be needed quickly once we are able to get to work.
The projects are temporary and will last as long as there is work to do. Depending on your skillset and work permits, we may have the opportunity to transition some people into build back projects that last longer. Current flood restoration projects may vary from a couple weeks to several months.
**All payroll will be paid through a local employment firm an in adherence with Alberta provincial standards.
Since you will be working in close proximity with many other people, we ask that you are respectful to others. Considering this difficult time for many people, both regarding COVID-19 and flooding, we hope that everyone is respectful of others and the working conditions. Not just other cleanup crews, but also local people that may have been affected by the flooding or may be at high risk due to COVID-19.
Compensation: $22 per hour
Requirements:
*18 years of age or older
*WORK BOOTS and WORK PANTS
*Physically capable to do physical labour for up to 10-12 hours per day for several days.
*Available to work full-time subject to Alberta employment standards.

*Subject to drug and alcohol testing
*PPE must be worn – hard hat, work boots, safety glasses, work gloves, safety vests, and mask. Strict adherence to all COVID-19 safe practices and work policies.
– Please note: Due to COVID-19, it may be necessary for employees to wear a mask or respirator. If you are known to have respiratory issues, you will first want to obtain clearance from your doctor.
– Must be local to Fort McMurray or able to have transportation to the jobsite each day. Most jobsites will be in the downtown area of Fort McMurray.
